Allowed To Keep Terms (ATKT)
A.T.K.T. RULES FOR F.Y. & S.Y. CLASSES
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the S.Y. course must have either (i) passed the F.Y. examination or (ii) kept terms for the F.Y. course thereafter and has failed in not more than two heads. He / She will be required to appear for F.Y. examination in the remaining heads in which he / she has failed. His / Her result of S.Y. examination will not be declared unless he / she has passed in the remaining heads of the F.Y. examination.
A.T.K.T. RULES FOR S.Y. & T.Y. CLASSES
A candidate for being eligible for admission to T.Y. course must have either (i) passed the F.Y. and S.Y. examination or (ii) passed the F.Y. examination and has failed at the S.Y. examination in not more than two heads*. He / She will be required to appear for the S.Y. examination in the remaining heads in which he / she has failed. The result of T.Y.BA / B.Com. examination will not be declared unless he / she has passed in the remaining heads of S.Y. examination.
Further a candidate who has failed at the F.Y. examination in not more that two heads of passing and has passed in all the subject of S.Y. or has obtained the a minimum percentage of marks for passing in the subject prescribed for the S.Y. examination but whose result has not been declared will be permitted to keep terms and to appear for the T.Y. examination. The result of T.Y. examination will not declared unless he has passed in the remaining heads of the F.Y. examination.
*Where a subject consists of two or more theory paper only the maximum marks of the combined heads of passing of the theory papers will be considered for the purpose. Where a subject consists of two or more theory papers and the maximum marks of the practical will be considered for the purpose. A student must clear either F.Y. or S.Y. completely in order to be eligible for T.Y. exams.
Note : ATKT rules and Grace marks as prescribed by the University will be applicable at the final result. For any clarification regarding the examination, a student may approach the chairperson of the examination committee.
UNFAIR MEANS IN THE EXAMINAITON
The examination is to test the knowledge. The use of unfair means like copying and helping to copy in the examination hall is a malpractice. The use or help to us of unfair means is punishable under the Maharashtra Act No. XXXI of 1982.
A student found to have used unfair means at the examination, will be dealt with as per rules specified by the University of Mumbai. The college will punish by declaring the result for the examination as null and void and by debarring for few more examinations also.
